Don’t wait until there’s a problem with your health. Screening for cancer
helps to find cancer at early stages, when it’s more treatable, or to find
precancer that can be addressed before it becomes cancer.
Women
► Breast cancer. Annual mammograms after age 40.

► Cervical cancer. Pap smears/HPV testing every three to five years.
► Colon cancer. Colonoscopy every 10 years after age 45.

► Skin cancer. Skin check annually by a dermatologist.
► Oral cancer. Visual exam by a dentist or ENT provider.
► Lung cancer. Annual low-dose CT scan – for women ages 50-80 who smoke or quit
smoking in the last 15 years with a 20-pack-year smoking history (1 pack a day for 20 years).

beginning at age 50 for average-risk men and at age 40 for Black men.
